The 4th China International Conference on Refractory Materials Production and Application was successfully held in Zhengzhou
Sponsored by China Iron and Steel Industry Association, China Refractory Industry Association and State Key Laboratory of Refractory Materials and Metallurgy, Ministry of Education, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, China Metallurgical Industry Metallurgical Industry Branch, Metallurgical Industry International Exchange and Cooperation Center, "The 4th China Refractory Materials International Conference on Production and Application, held in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province from June 28th to 30th. The theme of this conference is: the refractory industry during the adjustment period of the world economy.
2017 is an important year for the implementation of the 13th Five-Year Plan and a deepening year for promoting structural reforms on the supply side. Looking into the future, China's high-temperature industry is expected to gradually stabilize, and while deepening the work of de-capacity, it will focus on solving the deep-seated contradictions and problems that constrain the healthy development of the industry. In this context, the 4th China International Conference on Refractory Materials Production and Application was held to analyze the development of the refractory industry and the market supply and demand situation, to understand the new pattern and new development of the world refractory industry, and to improve the refractory industry with metallurgy. Communication of major user industries such as nonferrous metals and building materials, promoting the progress of refractory production and application technology, and promoting the health and sustainable development of the refractory industry.
Wang Liqun, vice president of China Iron and Steel Association, gave a report titled "Coordinated Development of Steel Industry Operation and Industry Chain" at the conference. He pointed out that the awareness of green environmental protection in the steel industry has been continuously enhanced, and many enterprises have actively taken relevant measures, and the environmental protection work in the industry has made tremendous progress. With the introduction of a series of environmental protection laws and policies, the environmental protection policy has become more and more strict, and the steel industry has been greatly affected. In some areas, steel mills have increased their production limits. In addition, steel-related industries such as ferroalloys, refractory materials, and auxiliary materials have increased due to environmental protection efforts, and enterprises have stopped production and production, resulting in tight market supply and rising prices. He hopes that refractory manufacturers should have a rational judgment on the current situation. They must feel pressure and confidence to change pressure. They must seize opportunities and meet challenges. In the process of implementing the national environmental protection policy, Efforts will be made to upgrade the level of technology, equipment and enterprise management, resolutely eliminate excess capacity, and continuously improve the comprehensive strength of China's refractory industry.
Chen Jianxiong, vice president of China Refractory Industry Association, pointed out in the opening speech of the conference that as a large refractory production, consumption and exporting country, the annual output of China's refractory materials has appeared three consecutive years since 2014, 2016 refractory materials. The output was 23.9124 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.56, which was 18.93% lower than the year-on-year high in 2011. The serious overcapacity and fierce market competition have caused the production and operation of refractory enterprises to fall into a dilemma; the deepening of supply-side structural reforms, the downstream industries in the process of restructuring, transformation and upgrading, vigorously promote innovation-driven, reform processes, energy conservation and consumption reduction And the government's competent departments to increase the special pollution control of key industries, has created tremendous pressure on the refractory industry, the development of China's refractory industry is and will continue to withstand severe challenges and challenges.
Gao Changhe, president of China Refractory Industry Association, gave a special report titled “Capturing New Opportunities and Responding to New Challenges”. In his report, he briefly reviewed the production of China's refractory industry during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period. The operation and import and export situation have analyzed the development advantages of China's refractory industry and the main problems that restrict the development of the industry. He believes that from a general perspective, China's refractory industry has some advantages in raw material resources, market demand and the cultivation of professional and technical personnel, but our overall strength and comprehensive competitiveness are not strong, and there is a serious overcapacity, market order. Chaos, low production concentration, unreasonable resource allocation, and uneven production and technical management levels have been restricting the healthy and stable development of China's refractory industry. Regarding the pressures and opportunities faced by the refractory industry under the new situation, Gao Changhe pointed out that the current downward trend of refractory market demand is irreversible, and the serious overcapacity will inevitably lead to disorderly competition in the market, and the cost pressure of environmentally remediation of refractory enterprises is increasing. The financial pressure caused by the difficulty in recycling the enterprise's receivables is huge. In the face of pressure, we must build confidence, seize the opportunity of the industry to change from scale to efficiency and innovation, increase investment in science and technology research and development, integrate and strengthen research and development resources, strengthen cooperation, and form a technological innovation model integrating production, education and research. Improve the ability of independent innovation and realize the transformation from scale-effective to innovative benefit and quality and efficiency as soon as possible. Grasping new opportunities for product demand structure changes, according to the new requirements of downstream industry structure adjustment and product upgrading for refractory industry, keeping up with changes in market demand, actively expanding new fields of refractory market, and continuously satisfying high-temperature industrial production and development. new demand.
During the meeting, representatives of domestic and foreign representatives and relevant experts, the status quo and development of China's refractory industry, the industrial division of the world's refractory industry, new demand for high-temperature industry and countermeasures for refractory industry, refractory technology innovation, equipment upgrade In terms of recycling and utilization of waste refractory materials, the development direction and strategy of the refractory industry in the current and future period under the new situation are discussed. Nearly 200 representatives from 8 countries including France, South Africa and China attended the meeting. Relevant experts from China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and China Building Materials Federation made reports at the conference.
