Magnesite chrome brick
Description:
Magnesite-chrome bricks are refractory products with cristobalite and magnesia-chromium spinel as the main crystal phases. It can be made by burning at 1600-1800℃ in an oxidizing atmosphere. It can also be made of non-fired bricks by chemical bonding agents such as water glass or magnesium salt melt. The difference between magnesite-chrome bricks and chrome-magnesite bricks is different mineral phase caused by the addition of different content chromite in the ingredients. There is no uniform provision for the division of magnesia and chromite. Iron-magnesite-chrome bricks can be made by wrapping (or pasting) iron skin on the outside of the products, whether fired or not.
Advantages:
High refractoriness, excellent high temperature strength, strong resistance to alkaline slag, excellent thermal stability, certain adaptability to acid slag
Application:
Tuyere of copper smelting converter, steelmaking electric furnace, secondary refining slag line and other serious erosive area
